IT Activities

  • Completed Conservation, Restoration and Digitization of Textile Designs, Natural Dyes and Botanical Illustrations, Section of Indian Museum (ISIM), Botanical Survey of India (BSI), Kolkata
  • Completed Conservation, Restoration and Digitization of Economic Herbarium Specimens at Industrial Section of the Botanical Survey of India (BSI), Kolkata.
  • Strengthened IT infrastructures for the use of the officers and staff of the Botanical Survey of India (BSI), Kolkata and its different Regional Centres and Units.
  • Strengthened IT infrastructures for the use of the officers and staff of the Zoological Survey of India (ZSI), Kolkata and its different Regional Centres and Units.
  • Strengthened IT infrastructure for the use of the officers and staff of the National Museum of Natural History (NMNH) and its Regional Centres.
  • Enhanced the IT Infrastructure of Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM), Bhopal for implementation of ERP Solutions.
  • Conservation, Restoration and Digitization of the Faunal Type Specimens at Zoological Survey of India (ZSI), Kolkata.

IT Services at Indira Paryavaran Bhawan

The following IT Services are being facilitated at the Indira Paryavaran Bhawan:

(i) LAN Cabling and Installation through NIC in coordination with IT Division.

(ii) Internet Connectivity and Distribution on each Room in all blocks through NIC in coordination with IT Division.

(iii) Staging Area / Data Centre (DC) and Disaster Recovery (DR) for Distribution of Application on each desk and storage of the data at central location

(iv)  Client End Requirement to Run Software Application (To save on power consumption Thin Clients Systems was proposed to all officials and all official work will be done through these Thin Clients)

(v)   Wi-Fi facility has been envisaged in the Indira Paryavaran Bhawan.

  3. Implemented Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System (http://attendance.gov.in/moef) in coordination with Administration, GA Divisions and NIC and also provide monthly reports as and when requested.
  4. Monitoring and report generation of eSamikSha (http://cabsecmis.gov.in) – a real time, on-line system to review follow-up action on the decisions taken in meetings.
  5. Implemented eVisitor Application System (Online visit request and approval status query (http://myvisit.gov.in) and Visit Management Module for Officer (http://evisitors.nic.in/evisitormis/) in the Ministry.
  6. Implementation and maintenance of Access Control Card System (ACCS) in coordination GA Division at Indira Paryavaran Bhawan.
  7. Maintenance and updation of replies to the VVIP letters in the VLMS (https://vlms.nic.in) – VVIP Letters Monitoring System.
  8. MyGov (http://mygov.nic.in) – to place the discussion items on MyGov to obtain substantial public feed-back for approval.
  9. E-Procurement (http://www.eprocure.gov.in) – The tender received by IT Division are uploaded in the Central Procurement Portal (CPP).
  10. Smart Performance Appraisal Report Recording Online Window (SPARROW) (https://sparrow.eoffice.gov.in/) for IAS Officers – provide assistance in handholding in terms of updation, arrange Digital Signature and other related services.
  11. Smart Performance Appraisal Report Recording Online Window (SPARROW) (https://sparrow-css.eoffice.gov.in) for CSS Officers – provide assistance in handholding in terms of updation and other related services.
  12. Smart Performance Appraisal Report Recording Online Window (SPARROW) (https://sparrow-css.eoffice.gov.in) for CSSS Officers – provide assistance in handholding in terms of updation and other related services.
  13. Implemented Smart Performance Appraisal Report Recording Online Window (SPARROW) (https://sparrow-moefccsci.eoffice.gov.in) for Scientist in the Ministry and also provide assistance in handholding in terms of updation and other related services.
  14. Implemented Smart Performance Appraisal Report Recording Online Window (SPARROW) (https://sparrow-ifs.eoffice.gov.in) for Indian Forest Service (IFS) officers all over India.
  15. Representation of Reserved Categories in Posts and Services (RRCPS) (http://rrcps.nic.in/): Registration of Organisation, Creation of user IDs and Passwords, Data entry for 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015. The data sent to DoPT after its verification.
  16. BHAVISHYA (https://bhavishya.nic.in): Assisting of DDOs for Registration in the Bhavishya Portal and also provide Training.
  17. Pro-Active Governance And Timely Implementation (PRAGTI): Assist Ministry for Video Conferencing during PRAGATI VC Session with PM.
  18. Wi-Fi System : Provide Wi-Fi System for the users of the Ministry (only regular now)
  19. NIC email : Provide NIC email to all employee of the Ministry.
  20. Budget and Expenditure Management System (BEMS) (http://moefcc-bems.nic.in/) – Designed and developed web based application “IFD Report Management System” for IFD, PAO, B&A, PC and Divisions.
  21. Online Stationary Request Management System (OSRMS) (http://164.100.160.232/osr1/) – Customised and implemented the software application for GA Division for requesting the stationaries online.
  22. Vigilance Online Integrated Complaint & Enquiry (http://164.100.160.232/voice1) – Customised and implemented the software application for Vigilance Division.
  23. Conferencing Facilities – Provide IT related services including Monitoring and maintenance of Conferencing System in all Meeting Rooms, Conference Halls and Auditorium and also providing LAN and Wi-Fi Connectivity.
  24. Implemented e-Office (an workflow automation inside Government) in co-ordination with NIC Cell in the Ministry – IT Division assists in registration of Users, Posting and Promotion, Role Post, Setting of Workflow, Updation of Leave Balance details, Provision of Training, updation in Notice Board (on request).
