Memorandums of Understanding

  • Bangladesh:
    • MoU between Government of Republic of India and Government of People’s Republic of Bangladesh on “Conservation of Sunderbans” signed on 06.09.2011.
    • MoU between Government of Republic of India and Government of People’s Republic of Bangladesh on “Conservation of Royal Bengal Tiger of Sunderbans” signed on 06.09.2011.
  • Brazil: MoU between the Government of Republic of India and the Government of Federative Republic of Brazil on Cooperation in the field of Environment signed on 16.07.2014.

Canada: Joint Statement by the Department of Environment of Canada and MoEF on creation of India–Canada Forum for Environmental Cooperation signed on 17.09.2007.

    • Egypt: MoU between the Government of Republic of India and Government of Arab Republic of the Egypt on Cooperation in the Field of Environmental Protection was signed on 04.03.2012.
    • Finland: MoU with the Government of India and Government of Finland on Cooperation in the Field of Environment. The Indo-Finish Joint Working Group on Clean Technology and Waste Management is component within the framework of India – Finland Joint Economic Commission under the aegis of Ministry of Commerce. The terms of reference of the same were finalized in April, 2013.
    • Morocco: MoU between India and Morocco on Cooperation in the field of Environment has been signed on 01.02.2014.
    • Norway: A Joint Agreement between the Government of Kingdom of Norway and Government of India for establishment of a joint commission of cooperation was signed on 06.07.2004. The JWG on Environment was constituted in 2006.
    • Sweden: MoU between Government of India (MoEF) and Government of Kingdom of Sweden on Cooperation in the Field of Environment was signed in New Delhi on 05.11.2009.
  • The SAARC Convention on Cooperation on Environment was signed by the Govt. of India on 29.04.2010. It was ratified by the Government of India in 2011.
