Conservation of elephants is symbolising our connect with nature, our land and our common natural heritage. The rest of Asia and the world look upon India to take lead in conserving this magnificent species. The recent inclusion of Indian elephant in Appendix I of the Convention on Migratory Species in the 13th CoP in 2020, will further strengthen the transboundary conservation of Indian elephants in future. It is our obligation to save our National Heritage Animal and its habitats for the well being of our forest ecosystems and also for the betterment of the lives of our future generation.
