The relocation has also helped improve the education of their chil- dren due to better access to schools and colleges and electrification of their houses and safe drinking water.
Prior to relocation, all the families relied on fuelwood for cooking and post relocation, almost 50% of the families enrolled for an LPG con- nection.
With improved infrastructure and earnings and access to better edu- cation and healthcare support, there has been a significant improve- ment in their lifestyle and has created a win-win situation for both the animals and the local communities. It has also created a success- ful model of collective approach that could be replicated for securing other corridors in the country.
