Significance of National Conference of
Ministers of Environment, Forest and
Climate Change
Taking forward the spirit of cooperative federalism, the National
Conference of Ministers of Environment, Forest, and Climate
Change, was convened to create synergy amongst the Central
and State Governments in formulating policies on issues
relating to environment and its conservation, with an eye on
development, and to promote better coordination and sharing of
best practices amongst the Centre and the States.
