Introduction

Conservation of Wetlands Karmayogi

“Wetlands are among the most productive ecosystems that contribute to biodiversity, climate mitigation and adaptation, freshwater availability, world economies and more. Sadly, through the past few centuries 90% of the wetlands have degraded.

So, World Wetland Day is celebrated each year on 2nd February with the goal to draw attention to the need to protect the fragile wetlands that are under threat from human activity.

To augment the awareness among the government employees on conservation of Wetlands Karmayogi Bharat is initiating a campaign to encourage all employees to complete the online course on iGOT Karmayogi Platform, ‘River and Wetlands’. Everyone’s participation will be critical for ensuring that we are able to achieve this milestone. This will bring further awareness on Wetland Restoration.

We encourage all the officials to register on igotkarmayogi.in and explore the course for enhancing their knowledge and contributing to the larger outcomes.
